Race 3 - Dicksons Limited Sharebrokers Hurdle (Div 2) 2900m Mascagni (left) was third on the outside early but by the home straight the first time was second on the rails with Woody Woodpecker on his outside. Turning out of the straight Para Prince (below) led as Rhydderch made a faulty jump and fell (both horse and rider were unhurt). With 900m to go Woody Woodpecker joined Para Prince in front and took over well clear of Mascagni. Woody Woodpecker (below) raced well clear turning for home but after hitting the final jump began to tire as Mascagni started to power home. In the final few metres Mascagni hit the front to win narrowly with Real Zeal third.
