Graduates from the Adelaide yearling sales again had a successful day with the first two home in race 1 Mount Batten and Renano Brightia both being sold at the inaugural Adelaide Magic Millions sale in 2000 as was Another Gem (winner of race two) and Golden Delicious winner of the Listed 3yo Fillies race at Moonee Valley. |

Race 1 - Lakewood Stud Bellotto Hcp
1450m Asian Warrior led Saratoga Boy then Mount Batten from Umadale, Renona Brightia and Rightfully Ours. Little changed until the turn where Saratoga Boy joined Asian Warrior as Umadale was wide and Mount Batten started to run on from Renona Brightia and Rightfully Ours. On straightening Saratoga Boy led Mount Batten as Umadale began to tire from Renona Brightia. At the 200m Mount Batten cruised past Saratoga Boy as Renona Brightia and Rightfully Ours ran on. On the line Mount Batten won by 2 lengths from Renona Brightia with Rightfully Ours third. Mount Batten is a 3yo bay gelding by Military Plume from Peppercorn. He is trained by Mark Kavanagh for IP Kavanagh, P Callaghan, J Cameron-Smith, G Delsar, M Wright, P Saffin, D Swan and G Bryan. |

Race 2 - Glenrae Stud Danetop Hcp
1250m Another Gem went to the lead from Little Miss Lina then Saturday Fever followed by Spell Of Dane. Little changed until they straightened where Another Gem led as Little Miss Line tried to make ground with Saturday Fever putting in a run from Compose. Inside the final 200m Saturday Fever raced up to Another Gem but the leader fought back followed by Little Miss Lina as Shanghai Moon shouldered her way clear from Compose. In the run to the line Another Gem was too strong holding on by a half head from Saturday Fever with Shanghai Moon third. Another Gem is a 3yo chestnut gelding by Made of Gold from Flying Bron and was ridden by David Carney. He is trained by David Balfour for JJ O'Connor, Dato T Lee, KL & TT Tan, D Baertschinger, P Greenbank, J Grant, BJ Biasi and E Fatiak. |

Race 3 - Blue Gum Farm Umatilla Hcp
2250m On settling Bitski moved to the lead from Tawtrice then Tana's Lad with Pomme De Terre three wide. Passing the 1400m Bitski led Pomme De Terre and Tawtrice then Southern Way and Tana's Lad from Showgazer. Little changed until the 600m where Tawtrice and Showgazer raced to the from with Aberdeen Rose chasing but wide then Southern Way followed by Bitski. By the 200m Tawtrice and Showgazer were well clear of Aberdeen Rose then Southern Way. In the run to the line Showgazer proved too good winning by 3/4 length from Tawtrice with Aberdeen Rose third. Showgazer is a 5yo chestnut gelding by Stargazer from Naughty Goddess and was ridden by Joe Bowditch. He is trained by Dick Coote for himself, K Coote, SR & J Clark and EJ Altschwager. |

Race 4 - Vinery Australia Saithor Hcp
1300m Double Voodoo and Hightari settled in front from Pride of Tarlton then Super Lad followed by Jetway. Little changed until straightening where Hightari cruised to the front from Double Voodoo as Super Lad started to run home strongly from Dangerous Reef. Inside the final 100m Super Lad challenged Hightari but the latter fought on well though dwarfed by the other horse. Hightari held on to win by a head from Super Lad with Jetway running on for third. Hightari is a 7yo bay gelding by Jevington from Lady Portinari and was ridden by Bradley Vale. He is trained by Brian Mueller for himself and DA Evans. |

Race 5 - Rennicks Events Hcp 1400m On settling So Late led from On The Snip then Mahatma and Jack of Spades with Baitenhausen at the head of the rest. Little changed until the straight where On The Snip challenged So Late from Jack Of Spades as Cubiton started to storm home out wide. On The Snip took the lead past the 200m but Cubiton had hit top speed down the outside. Inside the final 100m Cubiton hit the front and proved to strong for the fast finishing Jamatre with On The Snip third. Cubiton (also pictured below left) is a 4yo bay gelding by Rubiton from Holograph and was ridden by Michael Hoppo. He is trained by Peter Jolly for CJ Campbell. |

Race 6 - Gillingham Printers Hcp 1000m
Maybe Dear crossed from a wide barrier to lead jointly with Quick Game followed by Miss Victory then Wisp, Ambroc and Royal Ruby. Turning for home Quick Game led Maybe Dear as Wisp started to charge down the outside with Bluestone Villa (barrier 20) making a run along the rails. Inside the 100m Wisp hit the front and held off all challenges to win by a half length from Bluestone Villa with Jeuneola Star just grabbing third from Cossack Law. Wisp is a 4yo bay mare by Last Tycoon from Lilting and was ridden by Wayne Hokai. She is trained by Joe Hall for Millenium Thoroughbreds Syndicate, J Wright and Mulbring Creek Farm Syndicate. |

Race 7 - Contract Engineering Hcp
1800m Brave Decision led Damon then Future Ethics from Brownlow. By the 1000m Damon joined Brave Decision as Farhills moved forward out wide. Around the turnFarhills briefly led Brave Decision but turning for home the latter regained the front from Damon with Dinky Barry running on from Olongopo. On straightening Dinky Barry hit the front but Olongopo charged down the centre of the track from Brave Decision and Damon followed by Future Ethics. Inside the final 100m Lonlongopo raced clear as Ama Star started to storm home from Blue Ted, Fly the Scene and Moet Now. In the run to the line Olongopo held on to win by a neck with Blue Ted third. Olongopo is a 6yo bay gelding by Stargazer from Countess Nearco and was ridden by Travis Creek. He is trained by Bill Peake for himself, SN & NK Peake, A Richardson, CJ Willoughby, CJ Lock, AF Richardson, A Ford and JC Gray. |
Race 8 - Goldrush Group Hcp 1450m Sly Rambler led Touch Of Mahogany then Happen To Be followed by Imperial Trisk and Misleading then Sars. Little changed until the straight where Sly Rambler kicked clear from Touch of Mahogany with Imperial Trisk starting to run on from Happen To Be. Inside the final 200m Imperial Trisk took control from Sly Rambler as Rich Theme began to make late ground. In the final 50m Imperial Trisk held the opposition to win by 3/4 length from Rich Theme with Sly Rambler third. Imperial Trisk is a 6yo bay mare by Nabirpour from Imperial Magic and was ridden by Travis Creek. She is trained by Dan O'Sullivan for GP Mule, H Quehenberger and J Mule. |
