Adelaide Magic Millions Sale

Summer Session

19 March  2006

 

Offered by Chilcotin Lodge was this colt by Kassab from Kick dancer (Will Dancer).  He is the first foal of Kick Dancer who is from the family of Latin Villa, That's Curious and Astralita.  He was passed in.

Offered by Rangal Park Stud was this colt by Ne Coupez Pas from Lady of the South (Catrail).  His Grand dam is stakeswinner Confederate Lady and he is from the family of Subzero, Centro, Niagara Falls, etc  He was purchased by JSL Racing for $25,000.

Rangal Park offered another Ne Coupez Pas colt as Lot 535 from Made of Magic (Lord Ballina).  He is a half brother to four winners including Magic Idol and Made of Music.  He was purchased by Ian Hutchins for $28,000.

Ampulla Lodge offered this filly by Made of Gold from Say Aura (Don't Say Halo).  She is a half sister to stakesplaced Around the Ring and three other winners.  From the family of Savabeel and Agalia she was purchased by Leon McDonald for $22,000.

Offered by Inman Valley Stud as agent was this grey filly by Saratoga Springs from Straight Down.  She is a half sister to five winners including the stakesplaced Kehlstein.  From the family of stakeswinners Saratov and Yangary she was purchased by B&J Terry for $21,000.
The third featured Ne Coupez Pas offering was this chestnut colt also from Rangal Park from Subcontinent (Rory's Jester).  A half brother to three winners and from the family of Soldado he was purchased by Mick Price for $28,000.
Offered by Rangal Park as agents for Windy Hill Thoroughbreds was this brown colt by Keltrice from Unique Bird (Bluebird).  He is a half brother to three winners and is from the family of Potter McQueen.  He was purchased by Leon Morton for $25,000. 

Offered by Bridgeview Stud this stunning black colt is by Lujain from Am I Ever (Grand Lodge).  He is a half brother to the winner Modest Miss.  He was passed in.

Lot 638 topped the session being sold to Kennewell Racing for $36,000.  Offered by D&S McMahon this colt is by Portland Pirate from the stakeswinner Avaton (Rubiton) and is her second live foal.  He is a half brother to winner Loutonne. 

By Keltrice this filly is from the successful broodmare Camicia (Night Shift) who has produced three winners including the stakesplaced Cashkalani.  Offered by Caithness Breeding as agent she was purchased by David Balfour for $20,000.

Another Ne Coupez Pas from Rangal Park was this filly from Chimango (Bluebird).  She is from the family of Dancelot, Kenvain, Take Your Partner, West Point, etc and was purchased by Willow Park for $32,000.

Offered by Inman Valley Stud as agent this filly is by Archway from Concluding (Kenny's Best Pal) and is her first live foal.  From the family of Balm in Gilead she sold to R & S Huxtable for $33,000.


Offered by Oakside Park Stud this colt is from Dark Lane (Hand Crafted) and is a half brother to winner Lily Lane and a full brother to winner Alice Magic.  His second dam is English Lane who produced the stakeswinner Raja Lane.  He was passed in.

Offered by Little Plains Stud was this colt by Special Bond from Demezia (Demus).  He is from the family of Zephyr Cross and Osmunda and was purchased by Ken Sweeney for $20,000.

Offered by Three Bridges Thoroughbreds was this colt by Archway from Diamber (Raami).  His grand dam is Barbie Girl who produced stakesplaced Choice Dancer and he is from the family of Canny Lad, Canny Lass and Camarena.  He was purchased by Magic Millions as agent for $25,000.

Offered by Inman Valley Stud was this colt by Val Royal from East Meets West (Western Symphony).  He is from the family of Fashion Fun, Dress Code and Stitches and was sold to Ian Hutchins for $26,000.


The total sales aggregate for the summer session was $1,123,000 with the average being $9,598.

YEARLING PHOTOGRAPHS from the Select and Summer Sessions

If you have purchased a yearling sold through the recent Adelaide Magic Millions sales and you are looking for photos taken during the sales week  I can be contacted via email on barnesphotography@bigpond.com.  Many yearlings were photographed for this Virtual Formguide report but many others were photographed walking in and around the parade ring. 

Photographs taken during sales week are used on the Virtual Formguide and national printed publications in reviews of the sale.  Later they are used in these racing pictorials when the yearlings go on to racetrack success.

The photos included in this report and others from the raceday are available for sale.
