| Hacks The first class of the gloomy showery Tuesday was the Show Hunter 15 to 16 hh. S Verco's Esteem was successful from R Lawrie's Millionaire and L&D Moroney's Alfie Langer. The Side Saddle Period costume as the next ridden class decided with Emily Taylor and My Solitare winning from Sharyn Edwards and Chalani Paper Note with Kate Maynard's grey Ultimate Decision third. The Hack novice 15 to 15.2hh was taken out by CaitlinGraham's Helden Park Millionaire from R Sexton's Harp with Fleur Goldner's aptly named September In the Rain third. The Hack novice 15.2 to 16hh was awarded to Lyndale Stable's Gift from M&P Chamberlain's Watergate with A Woodrofe's Heaven Scent third. The Show Hunter over 16hh went to J Murrell & S Hanar's grey Valmont Tradition from G McCann's Madion Avenue with B Thompson's SI Fantastik third. In the 16 to 16.2hh the class went to J&G Laidlaw's Night of Fame while Sansarin Bay claimed the Hack novice over 16hh from G Kermond's Bright Forest. In pouring rain the Best Novice Hack presented to Lyndale Stable's Gift while Champion Show Hunter was Esteem with runner up Millionaire. Jumping Amy Graham and Untold Secret were successful in the Junior Jumping early in the day while mid morning featured the World Cup warm up class. Despite a heavy fall during the jump off John Patterson and Maamur placed third behind Billy Raymont and Royal Selections and Michelle Clark riding MEC Street Talk. Rider classes Today saw the Intermediate Champion Equestrienne with the prestigious award going to Catherine Moroney riding S Verco's Esteem with Reserve awarded to Lesley Burrow's riding Jill Best's Twain. The Champion Junior Rider was announced after lunch with victory going to Simone Pearce with Jessica Stalling Reserve Champion. The Lady Rider in Side Saddle went to L Donoghue. Novelties The Open Balloon race went to JM Tunkin's True Colours from The Reflex and CP Dancing Queen both owned by Ebondale Stud and CP Allen. The Open Potato Race was taken out by Lake Tyrell QH Stud Why Me from B&M Porter's Fire on Ice and Daniel Adams' Zip Zip. The Open Wheelbarrow race went to CP Dancing Queen from D Viceban's Lady Luck and Zip Zip. |
