| Hacks The Gentleman's Hack was decided before lunch with the award going to G Crocker's Akhtar from R Lawrie's Millionaire and G Kermond's Bright Forest. The Lady's Hack was awarded to Pam Ahern and W Coyle's Hype from Caroline Wagner's WS Applause and Penny Verco's Inferno. The Hack 65kg was taken out by Lyndale Stable's Gift from Hype and J Stalling's Up Town Girl. The Hack 75kg class went to C&K Hassel's Loyalty from S Verco's Esteem with F Treneman's Empire third. The Champion Galloway Hack was awarded to E Pickstock's Sanlirra Spellbound with R Barry's Mirinda Height of Fashion named the Reserve Champion. Showjumping The first jumping class of the day went to Brook Dobbin riding GP Shine from Lachlan Manuel and Cutloose with Michelle Clark and Belcam Goldrush third. The second jumping class of the day was interrupted during Rebecca Allen's round when a bolting horse from an adjacent riding class hurdled the barrier rope parting company with its rider on landing and the horse then bolted out of the main arena crashing into an entrance gate which led back to the stabling area. A gateman was struck by the gate and the horse's young rider was taken to the casualty room with reports that she was OK. Despite the interruption in proceedings Rebecca Allen riding RSB Nightingale went on to win the class from J Prime's Saddle Up High Places. The final class was the Junior Jumping event with Phillip Lever and Care to Dance winning from Brad Bradford's Everred with Amy Graham and Top Secret third. The Senior Showjumping Awards were announced with the Most Successful Showjumping Horse awarded to B Raymont's Royal Selections from Brisbane with Rebecca Allen of Victoria named as the Most Successful Rider. The Best Senior South Australian Showjumping Rider was awarded to Lachlan Manuel with his mount Cutloose the Best Performed Showjumping Horse. Rider classes The Girl Rider 16 to 18 years was taken out by Michelle McGuiness from Brittany Emmerson. The Champion Equestrienne was awarded to Penny Verco and Inferno after a faultless performance from Rachel Lawrie and Sansarin Bay with Pam Ahern and Hype third. The Good Hands Competition Championship went to Edwina Harrison from Melissa Karutz with Lesley Burrows third. Novelties The Flag and Barrel races were decided today with the Gentleman Riders class going to Hazel Fertier's Hajuca Hy Speed from Lake Tyrell QH Stud's Lake Tyrell Icon with Ebondale Stud and CP Allen's CP Dancing Queen third. The Lady Riders event went to JM Tunkin's True Colours from B&M Porter's Fire on Ice and Why Me third. The Boy or Girl Riders class was taken out by Hajuca Hy Speed from Teeno with Why Me third. |
